Rick Chisnick Tomorrow’s Newspaper Goes Out With A BANG!!!
by Rick Chisnick

Last week, Robb Taylor, Ron Gilmore, and I made a sad, but necessary, decision. To make a long story short, TomorrowsNewspaper.Net costs money to keep on the Internet. In order to keep the site up, the web service requested an annual payment for the end of October. We have all agreed to forgo this payment and take the site offline. We are considering moving the site over to a "free" Internet server, where we may decide to make updates from time to time (though, we haven’t made any official plans). TomorrowsNewspaper.Net will be going offline in early November.

The main reason we are quitting is that the three of us are simply too busy to update the site as often as we like. We apologize to those of you who have visited the site in recent months but saw no updates. We realize there a few people who frequented the site but probably stopped coming for this reason – with no update since April of this year, I too would have stopped visiting. This leads to the second reason – because of our lack of public relations, we have not gained a very big audience. It takes a lot of work to keep the site up to date, so we are calling it quits.

Our final audio program is set for the week of October 16th. It will feature audio segments from all three of us. We will be discussing our experiences as followers of Christ, and the times we had with the site. It should be interesting.

In the meantime, I just want to perform my official duty as News Alert writer one last time. As I look back on 2005 so far, I would not be generous if I only said it was an "eventful" year in world events. On the contrary, 2005 has been a complete INSANE roller coaster ride. Hurricane Katrina and her destruction of New Orleans, Hurricane Rita, the Asian Tsunami, and the recent earthquake that destroyed portions of South Asia. That is just the natural disasters! We have seen a new Catholic pope get installed. We have seen thousands of Jews forced to leave the Gaza strip so a bunch of terrorists could move in. Moreover, sadly, continued persecution of the followers of Jesus Christ around the world, which just seems to get worse and worse. 2005 is not even over yet! It makes me even more eager for things to come, knowing that God’s Word is right on target.

At TomorrowsNewspaper.Net, a major topic of interest has always been the second coming of Jesus Christ. We have always held to the "post-tribulation" view of what is known as, "the rapture." For details on our eschatological beliefs, please read Robb Taylor’s Bible Study, "The Rapture?" We believe that the biblical Antichrist will appear first. While post-tribulationists believe the True Christ will appear at any moment, we believe that the False Christ will appear at any moment. In recent months, my interest in this topic has faded because of the words of Christ in Acts 1:7-8, where he instructs his followers not to speculate on such matters, but to preach the good news of salvation through his work on the cross and resurrection. Our Heavenly Father created us for a relationship with himself, and he wants us to teach others about this awesome relationship through Jesus Christ.

On the other hand, a few things have irritated me for quite some time. I have been keeping my eyes peeled for any potential organizations that I feel could be harmful to people - possible workers of Satan masquerading as righteous spiritual leaders. I just want to make readers of this site aware of a few organizations that I feel are dangerous. I have wanted to post a News Alert about this for a very long time but have not had an opportunity until now. Here are a few organizations that you should be on red alert for – they may play roles in end-times deception. I will give you links to their site, with a short description before I finish here.

Share International – In my opinion, this is Christ enemy number one. I received word of a person living on the earth right now, who apparently has a contract with a major television network to make his public announcement of who he is – according to him, he’s "the one to come." This entity is currently going by the name of Maitreya but will change it shortly before his public appearances are more frequent. He appeared in Nairobi in 1988 as Jesus Christ, and has appeared in other places around the world. He appears out of nowhere, does his thing, and vanishes into thin air. A friend told me about him, but I wasn’t truly startled until I saw this site. Very scarey.

Prophet Yahweh – This man seems to be able to summon UFOs at will. He says that mankind cannot be saved except through works of the law and worship of Yahweh. From what I understand, he has called Jesus Christ a homosexual and a pedifile. Apparently he has also preached that "mentally ill" Christians around the world will be killed unless they turn away from their ignorance. He teaches that extraterrestrials (that are supposedly angels) are showing up in these ships, to announce the "return of the messiah" in a few years. There is a mass of video footage on this site which is frightening. For Shepherd’s Chapel students, this stuff should throw up a red flag.

Benny Hinn - A popular televangelist who appears frequently on Trinity Broadcasting Network and hosts a program called, "This Is Your Day." He frequently travels the country and hosts charismatic "healing" meetings which pack stadiums. Considered by many to be an apostle of God, his words and actions have proved otherwise. He is worth millions of dollars, from all the money he has collected from these meetings - living comfortably in a palatial estate in Florida. For some of his false prophecies, please CLICK HERE. Be aware he has claimed that Jesus Christ has appeared PHYSICALLY in parts of the world to signal the second coming. Sound familiar?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - This organization is highly successful in missions, but teaches some outrageous doctrine. They believe in many gods (teaching people that men can achieve godhood), celestial marriage, and "other scriptures." Their founder was a known polygamist and made prophecies that were never fulfilled. It is perhaps the fastest growing religion on the planet. Most of their deep doctrine is not available to potential converts. Newbies are lured in with "The Book of Mormon" but are kept in the dark on "sacred" temple ceremonies, including an elaborate initiation ceremony. This is not Christianity – this is something else entirely. Do not be deceived. Visit Mormonism Research Ministry for more information.

There are others I would like to discuss, but simply can’t for lack of time. Nevertheless, I believe I’ve touched on the major ones. Always remember that if you encounter someone who is a member of or supports one of the groups above to exercise the Golden Rule and speak the truth in love. Hopefully, this information has been helpful. Wow, I’ve been waiting to do that for 3 years!

It has been a pleasure working with this website for the last 3 years. Thank you to Robb and Ron for giving me the opportunity write for this site.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this - "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." - Galatians 5:14

For the LORD taketh pleasure in His People: He will beautify the meek with salvation. - Psalm 149:4

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. - Isaiah 26:3

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. - Colossians 3:1-2

And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom Thou hast sent. - John 17:3

In Christ’s Precious Love,

Rick Chisnick
